ACiQ 12,000 BTU Ceiling Cassette Mini-Split Air Handler
ACiQ's ACIQ-12CC-HH-MB ceiling cassette air handler offers a discreet solution for customers who want to avoid having the air handler on their wall. This option provides centralized air distribution with a hidden appearance, while maintaining the same high-efficiency heating and cooling as a regular wall-mounted unit. Conveniently, it also comes with a hand-held remote control for easy operation. Once the air handler is mounted into the ceiling, only the grille is visible, creating a subtle and understated aesthetic.
Installation
Ceiling Cassettes are designed to be flush-mounted, requiring removal of ceiling material to create space for the unit. These units can fit between 24 on-center joists, but not between 16 on-center joists without structural modifications. They also feature factory-installed pumps to lift condensation, which can be elevated up to 14 feet. A PVC drain system will need to be constructed to safely remove the condensed water. Refrigerant and wiring connections are identical to those used in wall mounted units.
